Ralphie presents as charming, funny, and engaging when he first meets Donna, quickly drawing her in. Early in the relationship, his need for control begins to surface, including leaving her stranded after a night out when things don’t go his way. At home, his behavior shifts unpredictably, with intense outbursts that include yelling, breaking objects, and physically intimidating presence. Over time, he becomes increasingly controlling and suspicious, creating tension in the household and requiring constant reassurance. In heightened moments, he is volatile and hard to read, capable of rapid shifts between calm, affectionate behavior and something more threatening.
